TRANSITIONAL KINDERGARTEN - TKÂ - ART IDEAS
Giving young children a space to express themselves, be creative and share with others gives them the ability to adapt to change, think creatively, and collaborate with others.
Thank you for devoting your time to educate and allow your class the time and space to be creative.

PETE THE CAT
Draw Pete the Cat with your Students. This video can be start/stopped so that the kids can slowly draw Pete.
Illustration Artists:
Dav Pilkey, Mo Willems and Dr. Seuss
I suggest using pencil first and then the kids can go back over with whatever medium you would like to use.
DRAW A HAND AND PATTERNS
Here is a fun way for kids to draw their hand and fill it in with different patterns. You could even have them draw both hands and get creative.
Abstract and Pattern Artists:
Nicole Marquez-Johnston, MC Escher, and Thaneeya McArdle
Would suggest starting with pencil drawing the hand/s first, then go over with a color of their choice. Then they can draw random lines within the hand shape and fill with patterns.
